Description

The Girl Who Drank the Moon

Every year, the people of the Protectorate leave a baby as an offering to the witch who lives in the forest, hoping this sacrifice will keep her from terrorizing their town. However, Xan, the witch in the forest, is actually kind-hearted and shares her home with a wise Swamp Monster and a tiny dragon. Xan rescues the abandoned babies and delivers them to loving families on the other side of the woods, nourishing them with starlight along the way.

One fateful year, Xan accidentally feeds a baby moonlight instead of starlight, filling the ordinary child with powerful, extraordinary magic. Choosing to raise this special girl as her own, Xan names her Luna. As Luna's thirteenth birthday approaches, her hidden magic begins to emerge with powerful and dangerous consequences. The Girl Who Drank the Moon is an enchanting, award-winning fantasy masterpiece that captivates readers of all ages with its rich storytelling, unforgettable characters, and themes of love and hope.
