Description
Antifragile
Antifragile explores a powerful idea: some things do not merely survive uncertainty, pressure, and unexpected change—they actually become stronger because of them.
Most people think of resilience as the ability to withstand difficulties and return to the same condition afterward. But the concept of being antifragile goes further. Something antifragile improves when exposed to challenges, stress, volatility, mistakes, and disorder. Instead of simply resisting change, it uses change as an opportunity to grow and become stronger.
Consider how the human body can adapt to physical stress. When bones and muscles are exposed to appropriate levels of exercise and tension, they can become stronger over time. In a similar way, certain systems, businesses, habits, and ways of thinking can benefit from uncertainty and challenges.
